Hello,
I just switched to Public Mobile from chatr. I have been trying to port my phone number since Friday to no avail.
I keep getting text messages about "incorrect ESN/MEID". I thought the problem would be fixed by switching from an eSIM to a physical SIM and I am still having the same issue.
I do not know what else I could do.

removed harmful misinformation: Calling the old carrier to cancel will cause number porting to fail and for the customer to lose the phone number.

It seems you used the wrong IMEI number of your phone. Porting from Chatr would be smoother if you use your Chatr account number.
Your Chatr account must still be active and you will need to reply to the text from Chatr with YES with the old SIM/eSIM in your phone within a 90 minute window.
You will need the help from a CS_Agent to complete the porting of your number from Chatr. I would suggest you have the Chatr account number handy when an agent contact you.
