US Roaming with friends

If my friend and I (both from Canada) get a US Roaming Add-On and then travel to the USA, can we text each other?  Does the US Roaming work in Hawaii?

If you both own iPhones, you can iMessage each other while in Wi-Fi zones or with a data-only plan.

If you both have a PM plan then you can both get the add on and that should work. As for Hawaii, I have heard differing experiences with PM customers. The 3G issue doesn't seem to be helping, a more reliable and potentially cost effective solution may be to get a prepaid local option in Hawaii and/or voip app.

You sure can..you can call and text eash other for 240 hours while in US. Seems to work fine in Hawaii too.

Hawaii are part of USA so it should work.
