Trying to transfer eSIM back to previous phone, but still being charged.

Recently my primary phone needed to be repaired, so, while it was at the repair shop, I transfered my eSIM over to a backup phone via the Public Mobile app without any fee. But now my primary phone is back and working fine, but when I go to transfer my eSIM back via the same method, it's now charging me $5.60 to do that when it should be free to my understanding. Is there a way to fix this?

Yes , it is supposed to be free.  In rare case that PM charges you for the replacement esim, pay first to complete the purchase , you can then submit a ticket with PM support and ask them for reimbursement

https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-help/articles/get-a-sim-card

Existing eSIM users at Public Mobile who need a replacement can do so at no extra cost. When you request a new eSIM through the usual process, we automatically identify you as an existing eSIM user and waive the replacement fee. See below for steps on how to get your new eSIM.

Thank you for your reply. I'm aware of that. I'm just confused as to why the first time it said it cost $0 at the checkout screen while this time it says $5.60.

This isn't any reason to know why this happen other than that there is a problem with the programming of the software that the Public Mobile systems are using.   There should have been no charge.
