Trying to Port to a new provider, not allowing me to do so

Hello,


I am allowing Eastlink to port two of my numbers to Public Mobile; however, they are not able to do so. Can anyone here explain how I could complete this?

@Bubba2420 so are you trying to port to public mobile ? Or to Eastlink ? It’s unclear to me by your post ? In any event to port to any provider both accounts need to be active and you start the porting process with new provider while leaving old provider sim in the phone to reply YES to the confirmation text that your old provider will send you . You need to reply YES to this text message within 90 mins of receiving the text from old provider. Once you have successfully ported number to new provider it will automatically close your old providers account out and you won’t be billed again by them that’s it . Hope this helps

hi @Bubba2420 it has something to do with the city where the phone number belongs.  Telus has operation with 95% of the cities but still 5% they have no operation.

Did you talk to PM agent and they confirmed the number cannot be ported?  maybe there is good news if you ask them.  Message them
