Travelling in the US

I have purchased US roaming however am still unable to send and receive texts

@akolhat  if you are using iMessage then that requires wifi or data connection, so you would need a roaming addon for this. Or, better yet, just go to the settings of your messaging app and enable SMS on your device.

Same goes for android if you have Chat features enabled.

Disable your Chat Features: 

1. Open Messages
2. Tap More options > Settings > Chat features
3. Turn Enable chat features off

To recieve texts a US Roaming add on is not needed. Do you have an iPhone? iMessage requires mobile data (as does MMS in the US). Check your settings and enable SMS if you do not have a data in your roaming add on.

@akolhat   is it just Roaming Text add-on you got?

did you change your Network carrier from Automatic to Manually select AT&T or T-Mobile? Try both and check which one connects  better

@akolhat , add-on purchase is 2 steps.  Please check the self serve account main tab to confirm that add-on is present.  If confirmed, check that the phone is connecting to a roaming partner.  You might need to perform a manual carrier search and connection, but generally the connection should be automatic.
