Hello Folks,
I am travelling in Mexico with Canada-US-Mexico plans. I am wondering if there is any specific actions to make phone-calls in Mexico with Canada-US-Mexico plans. I have a physical sim, not e-sim. Anybody knows how to connect with a local phone provider in Mexico?
Thanks

PS-We also have physical SIMs. One of us has an iPhone, and the other has a Samsung. Safe travels!

Hey there...We just got back. When you arrive, you will get a text from Public, inviting you to purchase an add-on for roaming. As long as your plan is for Canada, US and Mexico, you don't need that add on, so ignore it. All you need to do is ensure your roaming is on, and connect to a cell network down there. At least, that's what we did...it seemed too good to be true!
There were odd spots where connecting for browsing was not working great/slow, but, we were really pleased. Just used our phones as per usual.

you might see AT&T or Telcel...sometimes even Movistar. Either way, you should have seamless service while in Mexico. To dial most any Cdn number while in Mexico, dial +1 ...area code...number.

Telcel is one of them. AT&T is another one. There should be one or two more

So, Telcel is a phone provider in Mexico, right?

Just enable Roaming and it will automatically connect to the PM partner network in Mexico.

just turn on Mobile roaming data in your phone
your phone should connect to Mexican network automatically. If not, change network mode to 4G and manually connect to AT&T or Telcel
for voice calls to Mex number, just call +52 Phone#, or to call Canada or US, +1 Phone#
