Can I travel to the UK with my sim, if so what are the charges or is there a workaround solution

@GeorgeH1 , if your phone supports e-SIM, this would be the best option.  There are plenty of online seller.  I have used airalo in EU with good success.  If you are using an android or iPhone with iOS 18, you can keep the Public Mobile SIM in the phone and be able to send/receive text messages via RCS protocol using the Public Mobile phone number which is quite handy.  Your contact must also be using RCS for this to work.

Public Mobile only works in Canada and the United States. The only work around is you download an app like TextNow and choose a local number to where you live, then purchase a United Kingdom data sim so you can still make and accept calls while there on your TextNow number.  https://www.airalo.com/united-kingdom-esim

get local sim card like Three or Lebera or travel eSIM like Airalo or Saily

Sorry, PM doesn’t have roaming in the UK so no charges from PM. Therefore, you need to purchase a local SIM there or offer a SIM from Amazon. Other options is to use Fongo app or WhatsApp connected to wifi in the area.
