@Ont_Barb I just have to figure out how to ensure my phone is enabled for VoLTE
That model should already be enabled but there isn't necessarily a setting that shows as it is enabled by Public Mobile by default. If you want to check, turn off wifi, turn on cellular data, make a phone call watching the LTE at the top status bar. It should stay on LTE and not drop to 3G.

you are correct. The roaming in US is included
but you will still get a text asking you to buy roaming when you first arrive in US, you can simply ignore that text. Of course, you need to make sure roaming data is enabled on your device for roaming to work in US

So I don’t need to pay for an add on to go to the US with $39 subscription?

Worked like a charm the last time I was in Palm Springs (California) for messaging, data and voice as long as you have roaming enabled and USA coverage with your plan

How do I ensure it's enabled for VoLTE? As you can tell, I'm new at this!

@Ont_Barb I travelled through the US last fall and did a review of the service here: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Get-Support/USA-Roaming-Review/td-p/1263110
It worked flawlessly.

@Ont_Barb What phone do you have? It needs to be enabled for VoLTE to work for voice calls in the USA although data and texting still work regardless.

Hello @Ont_Barb
You can use your phone like you were here in Canada while in the US. You will automatically get a text saying to buy addons and such but that's something that goes to everyone when crossing the border. If you have any issues, you can go into your settings, then make sure data roaming is turned on and then go into your network settings and turn off automatic. When you see T-Mobile, click on it and save. Then reboot your phone. You should be set. If that doesn't work, try ATT or Verizon.
