Transferring out a PM number while keeping the account

Hi, I'd like to know if it's possible to keep my PM account and obtain a new phone number from PM, after transferring my current phone number to a different provider. Thanks.

sorry @PingLu , not possible.  Once the number is ported, account will be closed

@PingLu  No sorry that can’t be done the minute you transfer number out it will close the public mobile account . If you want to keep public account I suggest get new number with new provider if you wish to keep your public mobile account active

No, once you port out to another carrier. Your account will be closed.

Or you can keep your existing number with PM and keep your account and pick a new number with the new carrier.

The other option is to port your number to another carrier and purchase a new SIM and activate and create a new account with a new number.
