Transferred number and not allowing calls to be made

New customer my husband and I and I tried calling his cell and goes straight to voicemail and he tried calling my cell phone and it does the same.

What is going on and how do I fix this.My husband uses his cellphone for work.

@InaMichelle  If the calls are going to your old providers VM system then the ports are not 100% complete. That only happens when the old provider releases the number to public Mobile. In order to be able to receive calls you and your husband should continue to use your old sim card in your phones until they stop working. When that happens the port is 100% complete and then you can start using your Public Mobile sims.

Its been more than two hours since you posted....have your ports completed? If not contact the moderator team to complete your ports by clicking on the (?) At the bottom right corner of your screen and submit a ticket via Simon. Type in incomplete port and then human. Follow the prompts to submit your request. Keep an eye on the envelope icon next to your avatar at the top right corner of your screen for a little number to pop up indicating a message from the moderators. Responding promptly to messages will speed up service times.

@InaMichelle if its been less than 3 hours then your ports are still in progress.  To test this, if you so desire, insert your old providers SIM into one of the phones amd call it fom the other one.  Porting essentially  happens in 2 steps the first, you can make calls and send texts. When it completes you can  receive calls and texts. Try restarting your phones. Wait 30 seconds and restart it.  Welcome to PM.  Stay safe.

@InaMichelle If you ported over your numbers from your previous provider, it sounds like you are mid-port. Mine took awhile to complete. During this time I kept using my old sim card. When it stopped working I inserted my PM card and it was all good. What company are you coming from as it may have implications as well.
