Hi,

I have an existing FM number from a prepaid account. I just signed up for a monthly subscription, but can't use my existing number. It offers me to make a new number & I don't want to.

Help!

I did this successfully today.I switched from freedom 2gb prepaid 6 months plan to PM.  Just initiate your transfer on public mobile after buying plan. Then be patient and follow screensteps. Start with Pm app, initiate transfer. New temporary esim gets added. It works, data and phone call starts working immediately. Dont delete any esim etc. Contact freedom again to do your phone transfer again, they definitely wont do it when you do the first time through that YES thing its bull**bleep**. They will cancel service and initiate transfer. Once its done you will lose your service. Go to Public Mobile add and purchase esim, that will be on the same number as your old. Add esim, it will work after that.

Are you trying to get a lower priced plan by porting from PM to PM. If the lower plan is not in your Subscription account. You are not eligible for the lower plan.

The customer wants to move a phone number from one Public Mobile account to another as per the additional thread that I have merged with this one.

hi @Timberley

so, you want to transfer your existing PM number to another PM account? or to another carrier (as you only sad "signed up for a monthly subscription" and you didn't say where)

if you meant you want to transfer to another PM account, sorry you cannot.

but it you meant to another carrier, then only that carrier can answer you that.  But if if the other carrier is Telus or Koodo, then yes, you can transfer

@Timberley  Sorry you can’t transfer number from one public mobile account to another public mobile account .in that case the number you want to keep you port out to another provider to port it back in on the newly created public mobile account you want to keep

@Timberley

you just activated a new Public Mobile account ? You can initiate a port of your old number in to Public Mobile now.

added...I see now. You want to transfer your PM number to a different account. You can't. Each number requires a separate sim, separate account and different email address.  (Sorry for my confusion)

@Timberley   Unfortunately you can't transfer phone numbers between Public Mobile accounts.  To keep the same number you would need to port out to another carrier and then port back to Public Mobile.

@Timberley  you can choose a new number to start then port your original number at a later date.
