Time it takes for an add-on to begin?

Hi there,

I paid for an add-on for texting, and when attempting to start texting, I've been receiving the messages stating that my current plan doesn't include texting. I'm just curious: long does it take before the add-on is active on the account?

@NDesai it certainly should, but often seems not to.  Many people just assume there must be an add-on for texting, and that's the only one they see so they buy it.  Unfortunate.

@tmrak your only option for domestic texting (aka while in Canada) is to contact the moderator team and ask them to help you with a plan change to a plan that includes global texting rather than no texting.

As mentioned above, there is no texting add-on other than the US roaming add-on. To use this, you must have texting under your base plan. Have you considered adding texting in your plan when you activated? It might be cheaper or just a few extra dollar for Unlimited texts.

Which add-on did you purchase?  I don't believe there is a texting add-on (other than the US roaming one).

If you were attempting to purchase an add-on, you may have only added money to your account and not actually purchased anything yet.
