Hello, I will be travelling outside Canada for more than one year. I would like to know if the 90 days Account Suspension feature can be used multiple times in a year, that is, suspend 90 days after that reactivate for one month, then suspend 90 days again and reactivate for another month.
Solved! Go to Solution.

@Deb8 Not really understanding your solution pick either. It seems from your post that you basically already knew how to keep the account/number active with the 90 days suspension period rule and was looking more for a confirmation?
If you opt instead not to fund the account within the 90 days (re: your solution pick) and instead will reactivate a new account, then you should also keep in mind that if you are on the old rewards, then you would lose those and have to activate on the new Public Points apart from having to getting a new number as well.
Also if you're on an older discontinued plan, you would also lose that but I think the current plans offer better value than the older ones, so not as important as losing the old rewards, if applicable that is.

If that's your solution then it would seem you're not too attached to your number. Otherwise you would need to keep the number alive by paying every about 4 months (obviously less than 120 days). Or use a number parking service to keep the number but then you'd lose any account history here if you might want to return to this provider.
@kaytus- Careful wording there. Never say anything resembling "after" the 90 days unless referring to deactivation. You go on to say before so all good but just be aware of wording around deactivation.

Yes, it can be used multiple times. BUT do not wait for 90th day! Switch to $15 plan first on next renewal.
Log in around 85-88th day, pay the bill manually for the next 30 days and let it get suspended again. Monitor your account and count days accordingly! Remove autopay.

@Deb8 you are correct. after 90 days reactive then it go to another 90days cycle. be a safe side, go do couple days early. in case the problem with the log in

@Deb8 hi that is what you do plus pick the lowest plan for reactivating purposes, also don't leave more then 85 or 86 days in case of unforseen problems

Yes you can do that as many times as you want.
