Switching to Public Mobile

If I decide to switch to public mobile, do they buy out the existing contract I am in with another provider? I know a few companies do this but am not sure about them.

If you've read the 20 other issues you say you have, you'd see the response times are at least 72 hours.

Give your head a shake, and ask for assistance.  There are great folks here who can help.

Or, just leave.  Those who fail to ask for assistance will never learn.

 @Jloraf:

Excellent of you to read up things here to find answers.

If you ported here from Virginia then your service here will need to be active to port back.

Would you mind sharing what your problems were? I know you said you don't have time for this but I'm sure we'd all be curious to know what's going on for you so we can nod and think yup...moderator.

 @Jloraf:

This is your one and only post here. Did you not think to try to ask questions of the community?

You probably do need moderator help and you did the right thing by sending them a message but very often things can be resolved by the experience and knowledge of people here thereby not needing the mods in the end.

@MSILVER continuing what @smp99 mentioned, unless you are on a corproate plan with your current contract, providers are NOT allowed to charge you any early cancellation fees as of at least a couple of years ago.  The only thing they can bill you for is any outstanding device/tab balance you may have.

Hi @MSILVER. You Still need to do the math. It may be cheaper for you to switch to Public Mobile even cancelling your original plan given the cost difference. I know two people who switched from Telus and broke the contract but it was still cheaper after just a few months. They would’ve been on the contract with Telus for over eight still to go
