Hey all, i currently have an esim and am looking to get a new phone. I have already purchased a new physical sim for the new phone, but im wondering what is the best/smoothest process for this transition?
Should i switch over to the physical sim while using my current phone (thats currently using esim) to confirm it will work first, and then switch the physical sim to the new phone?
or should i wait until i have my new phone, and then do the sim change with the physical sim in the new phone?
Does it make a difference?
Thanks.

Thanks, that is what i was thinking too, switch to new sim on the current phone to make sure it works, then transfer it to the new phone once i have it.
To confirm, all i have to do is go to my profile and "Change SIM Card Number" to the new sim i just purchased. Is there any other required steps to ensure i keep my plan/number? Just want to make sure i dont lose my number.

to make sure it is easier to troubleshoot in case there is any issue, I would make the physical sim active first, test on this current phone, and move to the new sim card to the new phone later. Yes, change one thing at a time is eaiser to troubleshoot down the road in case of problems
