Hey everyone! Have you switched to an eSIM for your phone? With PM or another Carrier? What tips do you have for making the transition smoother when traveling in the US? I’m particularly interested in avoiding disruptions when transferring from an old device to a new one.
Any precautions or tricks you’ve found helpful?

@aperecko , eSIM have finally become available for all customers here recently so it is still new but many of us have asked for the option of transferring our eSIM’s from one phone to another! It can be done with other service providers just not here yet! If we send our suggestions to CS_Agent we will just get told to purchase another or purchase a SIM Card. All we can do is wait unless someone else here knows where we can send our feedback other that the pop up message that keeps asking for it!

Yeah, That is a problem - Perhaps Public Mobile will make them a no cost option or credit the account when someone needs to purchase one? - how do we suggest this idea ?

Thanks for your prompt response and valuable suggestions.
I completely agree with your recommendation to select T-Mobile as the network operator when traveling to the US. I've had the pleasure of using their services before, and they have always provided a reliable and seamless experience and seem to not be restrictive on hotspot sharing. Thanks for your thoughts and willingness to share your insights. I am looking to cope with the reality of eSIMs being apart of my daily but will likely try to have physical sims available as backup.
If you or anyone has additional tips or suggestions, please feel free to share them.

@aperecko , I have a Public Mobile eSIM on my iPhone that I use for calls, text & data in Canada & I have a TextNow SIM Card (with the app) in my iPhone that I use for free calls & text in USA!
The problem with eSIM os that you cannot just transfer it from one phone to another. You would need to purchase a new one every time you want to switch phones! Whereas with SIM Card all you need to do is remove it from the phone & insert it into another!
Edit: To fix typo!

Transitioning to an eSIM’s ease,
In the US, travels beg for peace.
Tips sought, disruption fears decrease,
Old to new, seamless switch, release.
