@holleranm it's going to Bell voicemail or PM voicemail? I think if porting failed (not completed), it won't go to PM voicemail
how about incoming SMS from friends.. are you getting those?

@holleranm If, by chance, you ported a Bell Landline into Public Mobile, then it could take up to 7 days to complete (usually less though).
Make sure you do not cancel your previous provider's services until the port is complete.
Incoming calls are usually the last to port over.

Porting a number is meant to be quick and easy (and often is), however it can also go wrong in different ways!
Are you saying incoming SMS text messages work ok?
As @Nezgar said, if your old SIM service works, Public Mobile hasn't completed the port yet. If you missed the 90 minute confirmation, try replying anyway as that may re-trigger the port request. Otherwise, give the Telus Porting Team a call and they can help you through this... (sending to you via private message since they don't want it posted publicly here). 🙂

Did you keep your old sim card in your phone and reply YES to the porting authorization text? If not you have to reinitiate your port request to your old provider. You can do this two ways:
In both cases you will have to put the old sim card back in your phone to reply YES to the porting text within 90 minutes of recieving it. Then you can put the pm sim card back in your phone and reboot. Your port will complete in a few minutes to a maximum of two hours.

Did you reply to the port confirmation text from Bell?
If no, your port is likely stuck. Normally, with a stuck port, you will not be able to receive incoming calls and texts. With iPhones, you should be able to receive iMessages from other iPhone users, maybe not Android users. What happened when you put your Bell SIM card back to your phone.

@holleranm The voicemail is probably that of your previous provider if the port hasn't completed.
Put your old SIM in your phone and see if it still works - if so, this confirms the port hasnt succeeded and you'll have to open a ticket with the Public Mobile moderators to retry your port.
Leave the old SIM in your phone until you receive the verification text - you must reply YES to this within 90 minutes of receiving it.
Once your old SIM stops working that is your signal the port succeeded and your old account has been closed, and you can put in the Public Mobile SIM.
