Signing up with PM

Bought PM sim cards. We own our iPhone 12s. What additional information is required to switch from Telus - is the process to cut ties with Telus easy ---

@pbudreski  Just to add, make sure to set up separate accounts with separate emails for each phone as there are no family plans with Public Mobile.

@pbudreski  Yes it’s easy , just download the public mobile app on your phone and activate your SIM card once you make payment you will have option to transfer number over from Telus , leaving Telus SIM card in phone to reply YES to the confirmation text to port . Once you have successfully ported the number to PM it will automatically close the Telus phone number / account for you . But if you have any issues come back here and the community will advise  on what to do next . Also just use Telus account number and ignore the IMEI it’s not needed .

Download the public mobile app and start there.  When you go to transfer number just put your Telus account number,  NOT the imei number of the phones.  You'll have to do 1 phone /account at a time.  As soon as your done you should get a text from Telus to verify you requested to port out,  answer yes and then after that you should be able to remove the Telus Sim and insert the public Sim.   With any luck it should work right away!    Also use a friend refferal code on the first account to get a 10$ credit on the activation,  then once you have set up the first account you'll have your own refferal code to use on your 2nd account to get that 10$          good luck and welcome to public Mobile!
