Severely restricted Internet Speed

Internet speeds for my wife and I are in the toilet. We are both on 5G plans but phones are limited to LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto connect). Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

what phones you and your wife have?

 but with a 5G plan, you can get that top speed with 5G plan (200Mbps) even on the 4G or LTE network 

try a speed test and tell us the speed

you need a 5G phone to see 5G showing as a network type.  What phone you have?
