SMS can’t send after porting my number

I recently ported my number from Telus mobility to public mobility. I can make calls receive SMS and receive iMessage but outgoing SMS fails. I am using an iPhone 15 with eSIM. Can anyone suggest effects?

Hello.

First, try rebooting your phone. Turn off the phone, wait for a minute, restart the phone. Then test a sms messages

You can also try resetting iMessages. Go into Settings, Messages, turn off iMessage, wait a minute, turn it back on.  Also check Settings, Messages, Send and REceive to make sure your number isn't stuck in Waiting Activation.
