open ticket  to contact support team by private message CS_Agent  to them check it,

@Jennacherice   open ticket with PM, tell them your phone is not connecting , ask them to check if your phone is blacklisted on PM/Telus server:

1. If you have access to My account: At https://publicmobile.ca/chatbot.

Start by typing "Submit a ticket", then click "Contact Us", Then click "Other", then click "Click here to submit a ticket ↗"

2. If you don't have access to My Account or have trouble with Chatbot: Private message CS Agent at:

      https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437

**Monitor your Community inbox (envelope icon on the top right) after the ticket is opened.  CS Agent will reply you there

Ticket with pm? Can I have that in laymans terms

I understood everything up to in caveat emptor nothing a quick Google search couldn’t fix though thanks for expanding my vocabulary gotta see the glass as half full I just made a huge mistake that cost me almost a months rent and I still have no phone but at least I learned new words

@Jennacherice   if you have not done so, open ticket with PM support and have them to confirm their blacklist.  The version PM has and the blacklist we checked are slightly off.  Probably there is a delay in sync between the two

I still think the phone is blacklisted.  What you are describing is exactly how the network will treat a blacklisted phone

Or it  is reported lost on the Apple server and not reach the blacklist database yet?

It’s strange that it’s reading enough to identify my carrier and such but not giving me signal your think there’d be something i could do

This is not a feel good story.  Unfortunately when it comes to buying something caveat emptor.

Yeah it was raining and I’m my back parking lot he showed me that everything worked etc etc I just didn’t try my SIM card it was actually out of my budget I get the whole buyer beware thing but just never think it’ll happen to you and yes they left the conversation so I’m guessing it’s something but what I don’t know

wow it's bad. but i don't know why not test it before give the money it's very sad losing money and device but should be there something in system to getting help.

i feel sad about this person,, but don't worry from god don't they going anywhere God will punish the wrong people.

Bring it into an apple store maybe they investigate for you further and at least narrow down the issue.

Police won't take any action.  There's no real crime committed.  Selling something for more than it's worth is not a crime.

If this was a genuine scam I am sure the seller sees the account as a burner account anyway.

@Jennacherice

i don't get, please you buy it online and paid extra to have them deliver it to you right ok how you pay?

and when you get why not test is working or not.

go to your facebook and make report or call police where you live not have any security camera.

It’s marketplace as soon as we delete the convo the person is gone I have a first name but no last there’s no way to find out

technically the chat is there on your inbox still.  But the person could have deleted the account

If his account is still there, I believe you can do this (but again, he could have deleted the account)

If you attempt to contact the seller and get no response, you can contact Facebook and request a refund. You should also report the buyer or seller as a scammer to alert Facebook of the misconduct.

To report a person on Facebook Marketplace, navigate to the Marketplace icon on the left side of your screen. Find the listing of the person you want to report, and select the seller’s name. Select the “More Options” button and choose “Report Seller.” Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the report.

You’ll be asked to provide evidence of the scam. If Facebook takes your side, the seller’s account will be blocked and they won’t be able to log-in.
