This phone was a phone used with Rogers and now I am trying to use Public Mobile. So, I got a new SIM card from Public Mobile and activated the card. But when I entered the SIM card into the phone, a message popped up saying "SIM card not supported". I do not know what to do, the SIM card was working fine on other phones I tried. I tried resetting all the data and kept shutting the phone on and off but would not go any further than that message.
Please help me.

WHY people buy this apple stuff when it needs so much mumbo jumbo in order to actually work???
I never had any issue with Android phones; no 'android id', no 'connect to server', no 'stand on your left leg while scratching your left ear with your right leg', etc.
Not counting paying an arm 'n a leg for them!

@Meow Must be because they like the taste of them apples! To each he's own.

@Meow LOL... True, iPhones on their own are fine, but when paired with iTunes, the experience is not so good.
@Yuseong I think it's highly likely your iPhone is a iPhone that was purchased before 2017 when the CRTC mandated unlocking fees to be banned, and all locked devices must be unlocked free of charge. I assume your iPhone is a iPhone 7 or below since they are the last iPhones to be sold locked to the original carrier.

@Yuseong iPhone usually says a SIM is not supported because your iPhone is locked to your carrier.
You can try to insert another working SIM (non Rogers, non PM) and see if you get the same message.
Contact Rogers an request for a unlocked code. Very likely they are obligated to give it to you.
