Hello,
I am in need of a new SIM card as the current one I have is no longer working. Is there any way to port my number over to an eSIM one so that I don't need to wait so long to get a new one? My phone is literally not usable at all.
Thanks,
Lucas

There are 2 reasons why your SIM is not working:
- there maybe an outage in your area so check the outage map.
- you stopped payment for longer than 90 days and your account will be closed, SIM will not work anymore and you lost your number
First check the outage map:

By switching to eSIM, if there is an outage. The eSIM will not work either.
If there are no outages and you kept up with monthly payments. Contact a CS_Agent to investigate.

@llotito12 ,v are you certain that the issue is with the SIM card? They are extremely reliable unless physically damaged. You want to make sure the problem is not the SIM card by trying it on a different phone.

eSIM costs $5 plus tax, you can but it from PM app.
Make sure that your phone supports eSIM before buying.

hi @llotito12
no "porting" needed
just download the app and buy new esim there
or you can buy physical sim card from Telus/Koodo store near you

you just need to buy a new eSIM and the system will take care of moving the number form the old sim to the new eSIM
Download the app on your new phone. Click Account from the bottom, then click Purchase SIM Card and select eSIM.
Once it confirms your phone is eSIM compatible, click Pay $ and Install , and follow the prompt to complete and purchase and install eSIM on your device
