Hi, I have an old Nokia phone from Rogers that I am trying to use with PublicMobile. The phone is unlocked, but doesn't connect to PublicMobile network. Does it mean PublicMobile and Rogers use different bands, and there is no way to use the phone?

Looks to be 2G only so I think it is time for electric I recycling unfortunately.
I had a very similar Nokia Slide phone on Telus years ago. I quite liked it.

Your phone is not compatible with Public mobile. It only has 2G bands.

Public Mobile uses the following frequency bands:
3G = 850 (5), 1900 (2)
4G = 850 (5), 1900 (2), 700 (12/13/17/29), 1700/2100 (4), 2600 (7), 1700/2100 (66)

Nokia 2680, I got it in 2008.

Or a Rogers TDMA phone though I don’t know if that was before SIM cards or not. That would be like trying to use a Telus CDMA phone now.

@Aram How old is old? What is the make and model of your phone so we can check if it has the proper bands? Years ago Rogers had 2g network so maybe you have a really old phone.
