Hi. I discovered that Rogers and Fido Prepaid both have the options that mirror a Postpaid plan, with the exception of Roaming pkges and sharing data like family sharing

Rogers Prepaid allows 411, SMS Short Code Premium messaging, and such, but one would have to first top $$$ in system before usage can be approved, which would essentially mirror roughly what I initially suggested. I also found out, that if one was going on vacation, for lets say 6 months, if you put $100 in system, account can remain active for 1 Solid year, before account is deleted.

Let me make a correction your account will remain alive for 1 year & 6 months. Let me explain you get 1 year with your $100 card and then the account goes into suspension for 6 months ( unlike PM, Telus Prepaid & Koodo Prepaid which is 90 days) during that 6 months you can even port your number out without having to put back into active live status unlike PM & Koodo Prepaid

I essentially called to "inquire" so to speak. Now some of you had said previously that you were unaware of any PREPAID carrier offering POSTPAID like services. I have been able to provide evidence. Though what they offer isn't really ideal, and yes I will conceed that point, at least it's possible. My reasoning of providing this info is not just academic, but also out of sheer curiousity too. And most of all, there were things that I did not know, and this info seems to be in some sense useful in my train of thought as to how to present a possible credible idea that I sincerely and personally wish can happen so that all who use PM can benefit with maximum pleasure. The $100 thing, to keep account idling for 1 solid year, That I wasn't aware, and more importantly, PM currently doesn't have something like that in place, only that 90 day account retaining thing, and afterwards account termination. Though I have a dislike for Rogers, Their Network is w/o doubt better in certain ways, Not their bedside manner of course, and that they have a PPU Prepaid that has the type of concept I hope PM can become, but not as expensive, fairly priced and affordable.

^ I agree there is no gibberish but what is being posted is not relevant here and it is nothing new it's been around for over a decade+

chuk,

I think what is important here is the type of content that makkahn28 presented.

It's logical, informative, grammatically correct, and contains no gibberish.

WELL DONE and a bravo to boot!

All National Providers have a $100 card good for a year and they all offer similar priced Prepaid Monthly Plans with the exception of Telus @makkhan so this is nothing new.

Also to add Rogers has had $100 cards good for a year since 2004 and then most Provider started around 2007.

Con side, No Roaming Bundles, essentially a PPU Roaming, and varies from who's tower one's phone connects with. But, at least I was able to prove, that Prepaid has the potential. Just posting my findings, so that PM can disect and analyze
