Right now I have an account for my child's phone. Does this promotion work if I refer myself and add my own cel phone on a completely separate plan?

Make sure you have all the letters and digits correct. Try and copy and paste it directly from your child's account. It's easy to mix up zeroes and O's for example.

yes, you can use your own referral code to setup another account. And just remember, you need a different email address to setup another account
