Hello, I was a previous PM customer and ported out. The account was thus cancelled. I want to reactivate with a new PM SIM card. Am I allowed to use my old account/e-mail address or do I have to create a new account with a new e-mail address? Thanks!

It seems that using a same email address during the registration process can cause problems. Especially if the email was/is registered with Telus, Koodo or PM. @ute1978 is probably right that you'll need to use a different email address.
