@OP: did you ever get this resolved?
Just ported over a family member's number from Fido earlier today (~3ish hours ago). Phone calls in/out are fine, data works as expected. But SMS (including the ones from Eversafe) are not coming in, nor going out. Oddly enough- I sent a couple test messages and my phone shows them as delivered, so I can only assume there's some kinda network delay on Fido's end for routing? Sent a message to support anyways in case there's anything they can jog it on their end. Port approval was given, and it all went really smooth in <10mins other than SMS. Once Port apporval the Fido SIM died in a matter of minutes so we removed it.

Yup, it managed to resolve itself overnight. For some reason my response to the port out text to fido didn't go through the first time

can be a problem with the messaging app. Is that Android? If so, try backing up important text first. Then uninstall Google Message and reboot phone. Last, reinstall/update Google Message from Google Play Store
