Hi,
I recently moved from Ontario to BC, my current plan only has province wide calling. I want to upgrade to nation wide calling keeping everything else the same. Is it possible? hope it wont cost a ton! Im a loyal PM customer with several referrals, have been loving PM since day 1

depending on how much call (and from where) you may just want to get the $15 400min add on, it gets carry over if you don't finish up the minutes. For outgoing you can use Gtalk for long D and just save the 400 min strictly for incoming.

So is it true if I dont change anything, I can make outgoing BC Calls and on 1800 numbers for free? Kindly advise!! Much appreciated 🙂
Yes, you would be able to make outgoing calls to within BC, and calls to 1800 numbers. You won't be able to receive calls though. Here's a chart that illustrates how PM's province-wide calling works: http://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Knowledge-Base/Province-wide-Canada-wide-and-Long-Dist...

If you really wanna keep everything the same, you can just change number...... a BC number will help you keep your existing plan and buy add-on to call nation wide.

One option would be to just change your phone number, but remain on your current price plan. However, you woud then need a long distance add-on to call back from BC to Ontario, and people in Ontario would have to pay for any applicable long distance to call you. For outgoing calls you could use a VOIP solution for reduced-cost or even free long distance calls back to Ontario. Public Mobile also offers small amounts of long distance minutes that can be used on top of your base plan.
If you keep your current Ontario number while you are in BC using your current price plan, you will not be able to receive any phone calls. You will still be able to make outgoing calls to BC phone numbers.
To swtich to nation-wide calling, you need to have a plan change processed. For regular-priced plans, the difference is usually $5 more per 30 days. This can only be done by doing a full plan change though, as it is not possible to just add the $5 as option on top of your current provincial calling plan.

depending on how much calling you pand to make the other option is to buy the long distence addon.

What is your current plan? Is it a promotional or grandfathered plan? If you make any changes to such a plan, you won't be able to go back to what you had later.
Also, because PM is a prepaid service, there are no refunds for what you've paid already. If you make changes that start immediately, you would lose whatever you paid for previously, as you can't just upgrade and pay the difference. You'd be paying the entire cost of a new plan. Alternatively, you can go into your PM self-serve account and select your new plan and future date it to start at the end of your current subscription. That way, you won't lose anything, but you will have to wait until it takes effect.
In the meantime, you can use a free internet-based VOIP app like fongo, to make and receive free calls across Canada. It only needs data or wifi to work.
Currently, PM has this available:
90-day: Canada-wide Talk + International text + 3 GB data $126
90-day: Canada-wide Talk + International text + 6 GB data $135
90-day: Canada-wide Talk + International text + 12 GB data $201
All these plans are rewards eligible.
