You will first need to purchase Public Mobile SIM card. They can be purcahsed from the online store at publicmobile.ca.  Ensure that you have your Freedom Mobile account number available.  During the porting process, be sure that you included the full account number as the DBC is also part of that (sometimes some customers forget this as part of it).

Sorry, oracle, but I read the original post as "porting TO Freedom".

Freedom, as the new carrier, has to initiate that port. Make sure that you have your Public Mobile account number handy.
