Plan not working in Mexico

I upgraded at home to a Canada-US-Mexico plan, before heading down yesterday. It seemed to work briefly when we arrived, but hasn’t since. 

I have cell data ON, roaming ON, and appear to be on the Telcel network. I know there’s coverage as my partner’s esim works great, also on Telcel. But I have no service at all.

is there something I need to do to get it to work properly?

Spoke too soon. This is no longer working. I’m connected to the Telcel network, but definitely don’t have data

In addition, switching on airplane mode and off also does the same thing..FYI

Thanks for all the suggestions. Tried them all and more. Ultimately solved by shutting down, popping out my SIM card for a few seconds and then powering back up. Only 1 bar, and on 3G, but it’s progress 👍 

If your phone have been working well on PM network before the trip, resetting networks usually is not needed. Did you try connecting to AT&T?

And just in case you want to try Reset Network Settings, this is how to do

go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will reset Wi-Fi networks and passwords, mobile data settings, and VPN and APN settings.

My earlier advice was for an Android phone. However, iPhones have a similar way to reset your network connection. Google for steps. Rebooting or restarting should also have the same effect. If you have done all that you can on your end, message the customer agent and ask them to reset the network on their end. It will be interesting to see what is PM's response because you are roaming in Mexico. Good luck.

And I'm assuming that you've signed in and check your account status? Everything was working fine prior to traveling?

After resetting the cellar data, did you restart the phone?

now that you've landed in sunny Mexico...make sure to turn OFF Airplane Mode !!

@Sansan data and text not working. I did get a call in, but it disconnected when I picked up

I don’t see a Reset Network option, but tried Cellular > Cellular Data Network > Reset Settings, and nothing changed 🤷‍♀️

It picks up Telcel when I have it set to automatic, and can manually select that or AT&T, but doesn’t work either way

also see if you can pick up T-Mobile or any available network.  If you have automatic connection on, try manually connecting instead.

Is it only voice not work or data not working also?

What phone do you have?

Try reset network in your settings (circle with wrench icon) and rebooting your phone.
