Payment after voluntary account suspension

Hello,

I'm newly subscribed to the $15 plan. Let's say I suspend my service before next renewal date but leave Autopay in place. Two months later, I reactivate my account. What would my payment be:

      1) $15

      2) $15 -$2 (autopay credit) = $13

      3) None of the above

You have two basic options to suspend your service either via the lost/stolen feature or thru non-payment/insufficient funds. This can be achieved by:

  1. Removal of autopay. I don't recommend this method because not only do you lose your $2 reward you can make it more difficult to renew if you also remove the card itself.
  2. As @dabr suggested either add an accepted credit/gift card or visa/debit with an insufficient balance to renew if you don't already use this method to simply collect the autopay reward.
  3. On the evening of renewal place a hold on your credit card thru your card issuers app, online account or by calling their customer service number. You can remove the hold the following day and have an active card on file to top up with when renewing.

Or

  1. Suspend your service via the lost/stolen feature in your self serve account. If you have a balance in your account that exceeds your plan cost this is the only way you can suspend your service to prevent the system from taking your plan amount from your balance. Once you resume via lost/stolen your plan will automatically renew by taking your plan cost from your balance.
  2. If you suspend via lost/stolen before midnite eastern on the evening before renewal your rewards will not be applied to your balance but can be applied manually by contacting the moderators after you pay and reactivate your service. This method allows your voicemail service to remain active while suspended.**
  3. If you wait to suspend your service til shortly after midnite eastern you will see your rewards applied to your balance. Then you can suspend via lost/stolen and you will be able to use them towards your payment for your plan when you reactivate. Note: You will only be able to pay and reactivate your service thru your self serve account as you must resume service first via lost/stolen before paying manually for your plan.

**To access your voicemail call your phone number from any other phone and once it connects press * and enter your 4 digit voicemail pin # for access.

@t_p   No. 2 would be the answer.  You can suspend service for upto 90 days and if no payment is received before the 90th day, your account and number would be deactivated.  Best to make a payment around day 85/86 to deal with any issues.

Edit:  @t_p   are you planning on using the Lost/Stolen > Suspend Service option?

I do believe that sometimes also affects the rewards and you will have to ask moderators to manually add them once the account is reactivated.   Personally, I just use a prepaid CC on one account that gets suspended and make sure there's not enough funds on the card to renew for the next cycle.  This way the autopay still stays but the discount (and any other rewards) cannot be used until the account is renewed.
