Out of Service area, calls not going through

I have a phone with a 782 area code, Sydney, NS.  I am currently in Peterborough, ON.  My subscription includes Canada wide unlimited talk and text. 

The phone was working fine in both NS and ON until yesterday.  Now, all my calls are bringing up the ' Out of Service Area ' error message, and not being connected.  It doesn't seem to matter what number I call.  Even 800 numbers don't connect, and bring up the same message. 

It's really annoying, and I'm not getting the service I'm paying for.  Any ideas on how I can fix this?

thanks so much for this, it looks like rebooting worked.  Keeping my fingers crossed though!

With Canada wide service your phone should work.

Reboot your phone (turn it off, wait, turn it on). Sometimes pulling out SIM might help.

@thelovelyK , try rebooting your phone and see if that helps.  Looking at the outage site, there does not appear to be anything affecting the area.
