Has anyone on the old rewards recently done an immediate plan change from 90 days to 30 days? Could you share what happened to the rewards? Sorry, I'd like to see an anonymized screen shot of the payment history, not interested in speculation...)
Here is our scenario: One of our accounts is running out of data before the 90day cycle is up (in 2 weeks). Instead of buying overpriced add-on data, we'd like to do an immediate plan change to the currently available $40 plan - $1 more for soooo much more data!
We got the loyalty and RAF rewards for the two previous 30day parts of the plan. If we change plan at renewal, we'd get the third batch of loyalty and RAF plus $6 for autopay on the day before renewal (confirmed on another account). We've done an immediate plan change from a 30 to a 30 day plan on another account earlier in the year and got the rewards automatically credited a few days later. However, I couldn't find any indication of the 90 to 30 day schenario, so I don't know if the same details apply to this case or if we're losing $6 for auto pay or even the third $7 for loyalty and RAF?

Follow up, as promised, however still no confirmation either way, unfortunately.
We had to change travel plans and were in plenty of WiFi coverage, combined with some tethering off another phone. So we decided to not risk the $6 autopay rewards and ended up with a regular plan change at renewal to the (at the time offered) $40/60GB/30days.

Whle I agree that customers keep rewards after changing plans, that screnshot doesn't give any indication of what happens when a customer does an immediate plan change from a 90-day to a 30-day plan. The information on that Self Serve page is often inaccurate, regardless.

There's no need to get a customer support agent involved. This is something that other customers can answer.
@saturna When perofrming the change that you're asking about, you'll need to pay the full amount due for the new 30-day plan. One or two days after the immediate plan change, you will get your reards. Unfrotunately, autopay won't get paid out as $6. You'll only get $2.

Looks like we'll have to take the risk unless we want to travel with a cranky teenager... 🤐
We'll let them use up the last few GB before doing the immediate change and hope for the best. If I remember I'll come back in the new year with an update.

HI @saturna actually no worries, you will see get those rewards back. You will see them added back into your account couple days after your "Change Now" plan change. Couple members confirmed that

Thanks for the reassurance. Yes, no account problems. And yes, I know that the rewards are tied to the account. And I also know from experience what is happening if the plan change happens at renewal. I also have a case study of immediate plan change from a 30day plan to a 30day plan.
This is specifically about $ rewards around the immediate plan change from 90days to 30days, relatively close to the renewal date.

That was a scheduled change at renewal though, yes?
I know that we'll keep the full rewards (to be applied the afternoon before renewal) if we change at renewal.
I'd like to know if we forfeit the full $6 autopay + $5 loyalty + $2 referral of the third third of the 90day plan if we change plan two weeks early. If that's the case I'd feel cheated of the 2 x $2 autopay for the first and second 30days...

hi @saturna Changing rewards system is not a requirement for plan change. Maybe yuu should ask them to escalate and report this agent misled you

@saturna but you can access your My Account now no problem?? no worries about the Community I'd, you can start fresh and earn all badges again : 😜
For rewards, don't get fool into Public Points. You can change plan but keep earning legacy rewards. This was confirmed by Community Manager here:
https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Announcements/FAQ-amp-Troubleshooting/td-p/986594
Will I be moved to the new rewards program if I change my plan?
Changing your plan won’t automatically transfer you to our new Public Points rewards program. If you’re currently on our legacy rewards program, you will continue to stay on it. However, we encourage you to explore Public Points, as it opens up even more opportunities for savings.

Thanks for the reply.
Just for the record, I have been around here for quite some time. I just lost my old communiy account when they changed the login platform.
I have asked the CSA, the answer made clear that they have no idea what they are talking about (They said that I needed to switch to Points when switching plans immediately. Which is false since rewards are tied to the account and not the plan.) I'd rather tap into the trusted, proven community knowledge whenever possible.
