So I ported my number from Rogers to Public Mobile over two weeks ago, and I still have my number on my Rogers phone and all my iMessages and most of my texts come to my Rogers number, they haven't ported fully or else that would be cancelled. Then some of my texts goes to my public mobile sim card, so from time to time I have to insert my sim card from public mobile to see those texts. It's almost been three weeks with no service, kind of seems like a waste of almost $45 paying for a service I can't use.
I personal messaged the moderators right when it happened in hopes it would get resolved, but all the messages are coming up as unread. I sent it to Shazia over a week ago, and then exactly one week ago I sent messages to all the other moderators. So this is my last resort, any ideas what I can do? I thought this was a good choice to switch over but now I am regretting it, seeing that I technically don't have service and can't get texts all the time and getting it from two different carriers. I'm sure once this gets resolved I will regret the switch over less but right now it's kind of frustrating as some of the others who had this issue may have experienced.

Just received a reply from a mod, my phone is good to go now. Hopefully the same happens with everyone else who's having issues ! Good luck to you all and don't forget to be always involved in the forums to get noticed ! PM can have a lot of upside I feel, as long as the service is actually up and running !

I have messaged 4 different mods and not one answer....useless to expect that they will and now running two phones. Paid for the service so I will use the plan up for the month and cancel this crap after I use up the data amd rack up the USA calls to get things done. Telus will not find me a customer for anything in the future. Evryone says PM but they are owned by Telus and like a parent you are directly responsible for what happens!!!!

yeah but I guess the whole "self serve" thing is why we get the plans for so cheap in comparison to other companies. With rogers I had canada wide calling and texting for $30, and if I wanted to add 3 gb of data it would be at least $30-40 on top, a plan with a decent amount of data would be at least $60. There's freedom mobile too (Wind) but their coverage is awful. At least Telus/Public Mobile has some good towers for good coverage in comparison. Still frustrating nonetheless to not have service.
On a side note, good luck with all your job interviews, hope you nail them and get the one you want ! Also hope your issue gets resolved with your cellular plan.

Why don't you call your interviewer and explain to them your situation I am sure this shows professionalism as you try to solve the issue proactively.
