@free7reigns I switched from a 3G plan to a 5G plan with the same sim and get 5G some of the time with the phone on 5G auto. Most of the time it is on LTE and can be fast or slow depending where I am. Some places/times it is faster than 100 Mbps on LTE, other times not even as fast as your 40 Mbps - remember all carriers quote their speeds as "up to". When on 5G it can get up to the maximum advertised. But I did not need to change sim cards to get 5G even though my sim card predates the launch of 5G at PM. It likely has more to do with where you are and what phone you have. Even phones marketed as 5G don't necessarily get it on all carriers.

There is specific SIM for 3, 4 or 5G. One will work with any G.
Maybe your local cell tower cannot handle fastest data speed. Or maybe your phone is not 5G compatible. Look at your phone's specs.

@free7reigns Up to 250mbs but even with phone set to 4G/LTE you should get faster speeds of 100mbs of a 4G plan

IF you have samsung s20 more than likely will not get 5g. Nothing to do with the Sim card. It's the phone. Will only get LTE and switch automatic back and forth to 4g on occasions.
