Hello everyone,
I was helping a friend sign up for PM over the weekend and I ended up being more or a headache than help. When we were going through the sign up I was distracted for a minute and didnt realize I had missed the "global" for the text choice and now my friend cant send or recieve text messages and is peeved at me :(. to make matters worse just as we finished the site went into maintance and we couldnt change anything. Yesterday when I went in and tried to change to global text in his plan the system told me there was zero balance and asked for a cc to charge the plan a second time.
I have sent a PM to @Mary_M but I know the mods are busy as heck and I notice Mary is offline today. I wonder if anyone has a solution they could offer?? I sure would like to fix this asap so I can stop feeling dumb for making such a silly mistake!!

We were doing so well before this...
I was loving PM and I have told friends and family about the great service I had... I have moved 1 family member and 2 friends to PM but now with this huge delay in service im not sure I could reccomend PM any longer. I cant tell if the wait time is getting better or worse but I hope to at least have a response soon!
This is a minor issue and mostly an inconvience but I can't even imagine what would happen if I or my family/friends ended up with no service for the periods of time I keep seeing people posting about on these forums from a company I reccomended. Not only does this reflect poorly on PM but it also reflects poorly on me.

48 hours and trying to be patient haha! Does anyone have any idea what the que time currently is?
I love the forums and think it's a great way to build community. It would be great if there were some way to at least know approx (within a couple of hours) how long you can expect to wait. Hopefully after the promo ends things will slow down and return to normal! Even an announcement about extended wait times for service do to high volume would probably work

No he definitely needs the Canada wide phone calls so the fall promo doesn't apply here.

Did you want the promo plan for your friend?
The $120 promo plan is for province wide talk only. But you chose Canada wide which is wrong.

I think you are going to have to wait till the mods can fix it. writing my original post i was having a tough time understanding the plan you purchased. but now that you showed it I saw how easy it was to make. hand in there.
make sure when you messaged the mods you told them exactly the plan you want and the phone number.

@hummuschips, i thought if you bought a new plan than the existing one becomes void. I am pretty sure buying just texting would forefit the existing plan. He would have to buy the complete $120 plan from scratch, and hope (not sure thing) to get a refund for the first plan.

the thing is the plan cost is exacly the same (due to discounts). He uses whatsapp but not everyone texting him does. hes signed up for 90 days canada wide calling 6gb data for 135 if you add text you get discounts that bring the total to the same 135. Paying for the plan again isnt really an option for him at this point.

Unfortunatly your firend is stuck untill one of the mod can have a look and decide if/ what they can do.
how much did you pay for the plan without texting?
does your friend use whatsapp vibre or any of teh other texting app?

If you want the texting now, it might be best to just pay for it and then contact public mobile about getting a refund. It's either that or waiting for them to respond. It may take them some time to respond with all of the issues porting at the moment.
