People are always confusing SIM PUk with SIM network PUK. Useful resource explaing the difference here: https://canadaunlocking.com/sim-network-unlock-pin

Thanks, yes I think I maxed out my attempts and am in need of the PUK code.  I'll message the mods right away!

@brenda7

PIN unlock key (PUK) is a SIM-specific code used to prevent unauthorised use of a SIM card.

The PIN (Personal Identification Number) enables secure access to the SIM card and network. It is provided with your SIM card.

  • If the PIN code is entered incorrectly 3 times, the phone is locked (except for emergency calls) and requires a PUK (Personal Unlock Key) to reactivate it.
  • Once the PUK is recovered and validated, you will be asked to choose a new PIN.

 Caution! If the PUK is entered incorrectly up to ten times in a row, the SIM card becomes unusable.

To get PUK code, reach out via private message to our support teams. More info here

Like they said! ☝☝☝ And they are not supposed to charge you anything to give you the unlock code. So if you are asked any fees to unlock just let him know that they can't charge customers any unlock fees since Dec 2017. 😉

@brenda7 SIM Network Unlock PIN request means the phone is locked to a carrier other than Telus/Koodo/PM. See https://drfone.wondershare.com/unlock/unlock-samsung-sim-network-unlock-pin.html.

Only the original carrier will unlock the phone. Where did you buy it?

There are two distinctly different features that might be meant here.

If your phone is locked to a provider other than Telus or Koodo you have to contact your previous provider for the unlock code.

If you have chosen to activate the SIM lock feature on your phone (in addition to the phone's security) and have maxed out the tries to unlock it you need to reach out to the moderator team - they are PM employees and can help with account issues. Please be aware that they are working on a first come, first serve basis, and will get back to you as soon a they can.

Use this link to send a private message to the @Moderator_Team, include all relevant information in your message, such as account number, phone number, detailed problem description.
