NTW 9-1-1 tax

Hi I’m just wondering how I’m supposed to get around paying the extra 9-1-1 emergency tax for NWT. I’m not from NWT so I shouldn’t be paying it. The chat not told me to adjust my area code to reflect my location, however the Yukon has the same area code as NWT so how am I supposed to distinguish that I don’t live there?

Change number to a BC number...they're not 911 taxed...yet.

You have to pick a number from ON,  BC or MB.  Those provinces do not have this charge. 

In doing so, it will change your phone all toeghter. Not sure it's worth all the trouble.
