My plan resets on May 22nd, yet when someone tries to call me it says sorry cannot make this call as there is no active plan on the account and to make a payment to reactivate the plan.
How is that possible when it hasn't even reached the months end of the plan ?

PM is on a 30 days cycle so check in your account online or the PM app on your renewal date.
If it is not due yet. Try resetting your Network setting on your phone.

More details would be helpful.
When you check the status of your account via self service, is your account status active versus suspended?
Does your other phone services work? Ie. texting or data? Are you able to call out?
