Why my account wasn't automatically topped up? That caused the service to be suspended.
On September 2024 and December 2024 the account was automatically topped up and the credit card was charger with the proper amount for my plan.
Why in March 2025 this process didn't work.
Should I manually pay from now on as I did today from now on? Is your automatic payment system broken?

Some other customers reported lack of service after renewal (today).

I have other autopay services who are working without issues, one being with sister company Koodo.
I think PM should take this very serios and fix the system ASAP.

Are you from Public Mobile or a client like me? I try to figure out how this community is working that's why I'm asking.
This doesn't answer my question why the auto payment system from PM did not work.

Unfortunately, sometimes autopay/pre authorized payments fail. A few customers did post this morning about the same issue.
If you want to be on the safe side, you could manually load up funds 1-2 days before your payment date, but that is usually not needed.

check to see if you can talk/text and use data right now. Could be your plan is going through the renewal process.
