Can anyone help? I just ported new number to public mobile and its been over 4 hrs

You could also try a network reset of your phone. Note: this will erase any saved Wifi passwords.
Is your original line still working? active?

@Nameet Have you rebooted the device ?
are you using eSIM for public mobile sim? If so make sure your PM eSIM is enabled /set to primary if iPhone make sure you toggle on “ turn on this line and reset network settings
Toggle on “turn on this line”
And finale old carriers sim or remove it if physical sim and test again
