Hi everyone,
I recently moved to Kamloops BC and according to the service map I should have a signal here but I don't always - especially in my house. However, even when I have a signal (1-2 bars) I don't get texts or calls in my home. It is a basement suite but my partner who is on telus has perfect reception. Could this be a phone issue or is a PM problem? I have an older Galaxy A8 that I probably need to replace but I can't at the moment. Thank you!

Easy to detect what issue is: swap SIMs and see how phones behave.
If partner has good reception with Your SIM then it could be your phone.

@shaynah ask your parner for their sim ,try it in your phone for a litlle while to see if reception is any better, maybe put your sim in their phone also

@shaynah It could also be a device antenna issue.
For voice issue, PM uses 3G only while Telus could use VoLTE, this could make your partner's connection better than yours
Try to set your Preferred network to 3G Only/WCDMA Only/HSPA Only, and see if that make any difference or if it not connected at all
And do you see your phone working much better when it is not in the basement or in another area?
