So I lost my phone with the sim card in it. I've gotten a new phone and I new sim card. I've put the sim card in but haven't activated it as of yet. I'd like to keep the number I had for the lost sim card instead of getting a new one is there anyway the thus number can be transfered to the new sim card and if so how and please I'm not very Tec savvy so I need instructions that won't confuse me please

@Sherry73 you have login to My Account and changed the sim card as advised above? (Go to Profile page, click on the Pencil besides the sim card number, follow the steps to enter the new sim card number and complete the change sim card request)
if you did, then put the new sim card in the phone and test it out

So I've done that I've gotten an email saying it was changed am I able to activate the sim card now?

@Sherry73 DO NOT activate it you just need to SIM card swap the number like this in your my account profile page or get support to help SIM card swap the number for you

Note only do this on lap top or computer/ not mobile device

@Sherry73 you don't "activate" it but you login to My Account to update it to the new sim card number
go to My Account from ONLY a desktop or laptop computer to request Change Sim card (please note that due to some glitches, accessing change sim care from mobile phone or tablet won't work)
(If you are unable to login as you don't have a phone to receive the 2FA code: On the screen it is expecting you to enter the code, click Didn't get the code? or Resend code and then choose Send email)
After you logged in, unsuspend first if you have suspended your service earlier.
Then go to Profile page, click on the Pencil besides the sim card number, follow the steps to enter the new sim card number and complete the change sim card request
