B5 LTE is all over the Golden Horseshoe, as well as Telus territory, including AB, BC, Windsor, Ottawa and Montreal

@sheytoon Hrmm, you appear to be right.  Just took a look at the Bell towers here in Oakville (which I last checked within the last few months, definitely this year at any rate) and I see a lot more B7 towers.  I was just going on what WillMyPhoneWork was showing as supported by the phone (2/4/17), I didn't think to look at the actual product page itself.

Band 5 is a new one to me though.  Where is Bell using that now?

@WearySky

B7 deployment has rapidly expanded beyond downtown Toronto and the Maritimes in the past year.

I would also add that the phone supports B7, but its main shortcoming is lack of B5 LTE.

Looking at that picture though it shows it's LTE as only partially compatible. So it does not support all frequency only some.

The only band it's missing is band 7, and band 7 is only supported on Bell's towers in downtown Toronto (and immediate surrounding area), and out east in the Maritimes.  Generally speaking, as long as a phone supports band 4 LTE, it will be good in most places nationwide.

According to the manufacturer's website:
https://nuucanada.ca/product/z8-android-smartphone/

The phone supports 3G B2 and B5, and LTE B2, B4, B7, B17.

It's fully supported for 3G and should work fine in most places for LTE.

Based on android central, this phone has 4 of the 7 LTE bands that Telus runs.  The most important bands are band4 and band17, so it should be fine.  My Oppo only has these two bands and I generally have no problems picking up LTE everywhere.

Going a bit off topic here, the thing that would concern me about the NUU phone is the media Tek CPU, android 5.1 and 2650 mAh battery.  The snapdragon chips are generally better for power consumption.  Android 6 or 7 is way more optimized for battery life.  A 2650 mAh battery is small compared to the competition.  These attributes may be the perfect storm for lots of range anxiety.
