I am not tech sauvy....what does this mean?  When I signed up for Public Mobile service and esim was installed not an actual sim card.     Do I need to do something to ensure messages are sent/received properly?

@barcal

you need to re-register iMessage

but first, make sure you removed the sim card with the old provider, or disable the old one was an eSIM

then go to Settings to remove the phone number manually, reboot phone,  and go back to Settings to add the phone number back to force iMessage reregistration
