Just switched from Fido to Public5 hours ago... no service

Gimble
Great Neighbour / Super Voisin

This is the message I'm getting after inserting the Public Sim card into my iPhone...

"The sim card you currently have installed in this iPhone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server. This is not a hardware issue with the iPhone. Please request that this phone be unlocked by your carrier. You can contact Apple for more information."

Any idea why this is happening ????

Thanx

If you don’t know the carrier that locked your iPhone, go to Settings>General>About>Carrier Lock will have the name of the carrier that locked your iPhone.

Gimble
Great Neighbour / Super Voisin

Thanx, I will try that...

Perhaps it should say:

Please request that this phone be unlocked by your previous carrier.

You will need to get it unlocked by Fido.

@Gimble  - Your phone is locked. Contact your previous provider to unlock it for you. You will need your imei number, dial *#06# to get it.
