Just change plan but it doesn't take effective.

Hi All,

 

 I just top up my account and change plan to 40$ 4.5g data immediately. But it looks like it doesn't take effective i.e. I can't access interenet. Could you please suggest how long it will take to get new plan work?

Thank you guys, that is my fault. I forgot to turn on data.

It looks like that your plan should be active.  You have data add on, etc.

 

Which phone do you have.  Need to check your APN settings.  Make sure that it matches your phone model.  check the settings on the following website:

https://apn-canada.gishan.net/en/apn/public-mobile

 

Or maybe do a network reset.

The dumb question...is your data mode on?

 

Internet connectivity is usually all APN.

Is your account status active or suspended?  

Does your phone talk and text work?  

Might want to screenshot your account status page.  Don't show personal information.

@xiaotangbao, is your account showing active?  The lost phone/found phone toggle only works for an active account.  It seems like renewals are finicky when the new plan costs more than the old plan.

It will not disable or block your phone.  Is a trick that we have learned to re-activate or re-set your plan.

From your self-serve account, go to Plans and addon tab. Underneeth, you will see "Lost/stolen phone" tab.

My previous plan doesn't include any data plan.

Did you old plan have data, and if it did, was it working before?

@xiaotangbao It should work immidiately. Try turning on the Lost/stolen feature for a few mins. Then turn it off. Sometimes this triggers the activation. If this does not work, try manually adding $1 to your account.
