Invalid Sim Card and Can not login to public mobile site

Hi,

 

I had my daughters phone set up and automatic payments coming out for about a year but a couple of days ago, she no longer shows a network, and phone just says invalid sim card, or no sim card. 

 

If I call her number it goes straight to voicemail. If I try to log into the PM website using my saved username/password, it says invalid username/password. Trying to restore it says a message is sent, please use 6 digit code, but no email in any of folders, junk, promotions, etc.

@ballylama  - what does it say when you dial 611 from her phone with the sim card inside?

OR dial # 1-855-478-2542  to check the status of her account.

 

If Active, then try:

  • toggle into and out of airplane mode
  • remove sim card and gently clean it and ensure nothing in lodged in the sim slot (tip it upside down and give it a little shake with the sim card tray and sim out)
  • perform a Reset of the device's Network Settings

If account is Suspended, autopay fail may have failed. Make a manual payment to reactivate the account.

Hi @ballylama and for your login problem, since it is a problem that you don't get the 2FA code, using Incognito mode won't help.      Please open ticket with CS Agent :

 

at : https://publicmobile.ca/chatbot. Follow this to get to ticket open screen quicker:

 

  1. First type: "Forgot log in information"
  2. Then Click "Contact Us"
  3. Finally Click "Click here to submit a ticket"
    you will then direct to another page to open ticket.

Once ticket is submitted, make sure to check your Community Inbox(top right corner envelope icon) periodically for response from PM's CS Agent

 

If you have problems submitting a ticket, you can also send a private message to the CS Agent (but this can take longer):

Hi @ballylama please try to reboot your phone first

 

Still not work, then put your daughter sim card in your phone and see if it works.  This can tell if it is a device problem

trying use different browser,open incognito mode,clear cache,cookie, try Login

or open ticket with PM support and ask them to do it out for you.
