I am a new client. I am debating between public and freedom. One of the perks of public is the international minutes. However, I see that the 29 10G and the 35 60G plans include 100/500 international minutes with note next to them that says that they are applicable to China, Hong Kong, India, Pakistan, Philippines, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom. I want to call other countries.
The long distance minutes add-on seems to include many other countries. could it be that the 100/500 international minutes include more countries and it is just not stated online?

It's just the countries listed. They're likely the most popular calling destinations, hence the offer.

300 International Long Distance Minutes
Countries included in international long distance include: Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Venezuela. Calls must originate from Canada. Any unused minutes will roll over to your next cycle.
And it's really a good deal. It's twice as expensive as Skype, but the later will be discontinued in April.
So just in 1 month, PM International Long Distance minutes will become the BEST offer on the market.

Hello @eyalb
I would also like to share my opinion on your post here as there are other things that haven't been consider that should be. Yes, getting the right plan that suits your needs is a plus. However, the other "need" is for a cellular provider to work in the areas you are most in. Work, Home and Play. Allow me to expand my explaination.
Years ago, before joining Public Mobile, my first thought wasn't of what plans do service providers have. It's what service providers work best in my 3 common areas. Where I work, the area I work, at home, the areas around my home (neighbors down the street, family and friends in the area) and of course, the areas I play.
I did a lot of research to see what worked in my 3 areas of concern. I read a lot of forums to look for clues and all trails for me, in my 3 places of interest, lead me to Telus. After doing more reading, I learned about Public Mobile. I had a spare phone so I signed up with Public Mobile, the cheapest plan at the time ($15) and tried it for a few months. I found the service was so good that it out performed my Rogers account. After two months, I ended up picking a better plan that suited my needs and then, 6 months later after my contract was over, I moved that line to Telus. I haven't looked back.
So with that said, don't look at the plans first, talk to your friends and family in those three areas and see how their service is and who they are with and their opinions. Homework like this, as you're doing now, is very important before making a choice like this.
And finally, just know this. FM has a toll free number to call for help. PM is forum based and customer service isn't instant and can take time to resolve. You need to have a lot of patience and time to wait to resolve matters.
Hope some of this is helpful.

Long distance minutes are for only CERTAIN number of countries, not the whole world.

I'm sorry, what you see on the plan is what you get.

sorry @eyalb , the plan only include the special set of countries for long distance, can't be substituted
